12 days before the Asian Games in Hangzhou
ACADEMIC ROWING is a type of rowing sport. Athletes sit in boats with their backs to the direction of travel and row with oars. It has been included in the Olympic Games program since 1896 (for women since 1976). The International Rowing Federation (FISA) organizes and conducts rowing competitions in the Olympic Games program, improves the competition system, holds world championships, oversees international competitions and works on the development of the sport. Rowing competitions have been held at the Asian Summer Games since 1982 for men and since 1986 for women. Academic rowing at the Asian Games in Hangzhou will be held at the Fuyang Aquatics Center from September 20 to 25.
