There are just over two weeks left before the opening of the XIX Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The Asian Games Torch Relay officially started on September 8. The ceremony started at Xihu Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The first torchbearer was the swimmer, Olympic champion Luo Xuejuan. The Summer Asian Games Torch Relay will be held in 11 cities of Zhejiang Province from September 8 to 20. The XIX Asian Summer Games will be held from September 23 to October 8. Recall that the XIX Asian Games were originally scheduled for September 10-25, 2022, but they were postponed to the autumn of 2023. The Asian Games will be held in China for the third time. In 1990, the competition was held in Beijing, in 2010 — in Guangzhou. According to the organizing committee of the Asian Games, the sports program of the XIX Asian Games in Hangzhou includes 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 483 events, more than 12 thousand athletes from Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, will take part in the Games in Hangzhou.
