A project for the construction of an Olympic campus in Tashkent was discussed with the leadership of the Olympic Council of Asia

Yesterday, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), President of the International Swimming Federation Hussein Al Musallam, President of the International Kurasha Association, Director General of the Asian Games Department of the Olympic Council of Asia Haidar Farman visited our capital. The Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports discussed with them the project of sports facilities that will be built for the IV Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025". The meeting was attended by Minister Adham Ikramov and his first Deputy Alisher Sadullayev, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Azizjon Kamilov, Deputy Minister of Construction Shukrullobek Jahongirov, representatives of the Chinese company CAMCE. At first, foreign engineers spoke in detail about the project. We stopped at each facility that will be built for the Olympic Town, its parameters, what raw materials will be used for construction. After that, Adham Ikramov gave additional information about the project. The Minister of Youth Policy and Sports noted that the President had instructed to make the buildings in this town as versatile as possible. In addition, in order to hold competitions in various sports here, the project pays great attention to this aspect. Oybek Kasimov also added that international experience is used in the construction of each facility. Representatives of the OCA also voiced their conclusions at the meeting. In particular, they stressed the need to once again discuss the project of facilities with experts from International Federations, while not forgetting their requirements. There was also an exchange of views on all issues, from the acoustic system in the arenas to broadcasting issues and the formation of sectors intended for spectators and honored guests. As a result, such ideas were put forward as international experts visiting Tashkent every 3 months after the start of construction, evaluating the process, holding test competitions in new arenas in March 2025 after completion of construction.
