ICF EXCO meeting in the Olympic capital.

The Executive Committee of the International Canoe Federation has concluded a two-day meeting in the Olympic capital of Lausanne, as the governing body celebrates its centenary. The Committee met at the Olympic House and the Olympic Museum and reviewed the preparations for the Paris Games, including the qualification process, as well as the ICF television strategy for 2024 and the application process for future major ICF events. IOC President Thomas Bach welcomed the committee and discussed the power of sport, Olympic opportunities, digitalization and future challenges. Members of the executive committee and Olympians Luciano Buonfillo and John Edwards took the opportunity to sign the Wall of Olympians. ICF President Thomas Konecko spoke about the rich history of canoeing, the diversity of this sport in ten disciplines and the 100-year history of the Federation. The Executive Committee also discussed dragon boat racing. The meeting ended with a strong commitment to the development of canoeing, ensuring inclusivity, innovation and excellence in this sport.
