As we previously reported, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, together with officials of the Republican Schools of Higher Sports Skills, federations and associations of the country, considered projects regarding the effective use of facilities that are being built for the Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025" and their further operation. Officials arrived at the Olympic Town today to discuss the final stage of the project. The event was attended by Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Adham Ikramov and his Deputy Shakhrullo Mahmudov, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Azizjon Kamilov, officials of the federations. Adham Ikramov gave general information to the specialists who visited the construction site for the first time and spoke in detail about the work done. After that, the discussion of the main topic included in the agenda began. The Minister spoke about the tasks set by the Head of our State regarding the use of the possibilities of the Olympic campus, turning it into a scientific and practical sports center. In order to create convenience and comfort, an additional sports medicine center and a 600-bed hotel will be built. In addition, it is planned to turn the facility into a real modern sports disneyland for our compatriots. As Oybek Kasimov noted, this will increase the chance of using the Olympic Campus as a single cluster to raise Uzbek sports to a new level. During the meeting, issues of allocation of places to schools of excellence and federations, the use of training halls for national teams after the Asian Games were discussed. Following the event, officials visited the construction sites and got acquainted with the process. In the end, an agreement was reached to monitor the process every week with the responsible officials of the federations.
