Rowing base "Ankhor"
In the center of Tashkent, on the artificial canal "Ankhor", which originates from the mountain rivers of the Tashkent region, the office of the federation "ROWING AND CANOE" of Uzbekistan and the Republican Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve for rowing sports of the Central Council of the FSO of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan (RSDYUSHOR) are located.
The Republican Specialized Children's and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve for rowing sports of the Central Council of the FSO of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan is one of the oldest sports schools in the country. On its basis, a huge number of highly qualified athletes, champions of Asia and the Asian Games, winners and prize-winners of the World Cup stages and other international regattas were trained.
It is worth recalling that it was in this school that the now two-time world champion, three-time holder of the honorary title “Best Canoeist of the World” awarded by the International Canoe Federation, Vadim Menkov, champions of Asia and the Asian Games Yulia and Sergei Borzov, Alexey Mochalov, Vyacheslav Gorn and many other athletes are members of the Uzbekistan national kayaking and canoeing team.
The Republican RSDYUSHOR for rowing sports under the Central Council of the FSOF of trade unions of Uzbekistan was created on July 7, 1987. in the city of Tashkent. The school is comprehensive, as it currently specializes in 4 sports departments: kayaking and canoeing, rowing slalom, rowing.
Director – Tatyana Abdurakhmanovna Mamatkulova – “Honored Trainer of Uzbekistan”, Deputy Director – Tatyana Aleksandrovna Fedorova. Here, next to experienced trainers Violeta Evgenievna Shubina, Gennady Viktorovich Turulov, Yuri Vladimirovich Serebryakov, Alexander Petrovich Kunitsin and others, young trainers such as Dina Tulyaganovna Baitasova, Elena Igorevna Mishina and others successfully work.

A major reconstruction is ongoing on the territory of the Ankhor rowing base, which is being carried out by the general sponsor of the federation - Uzbekenergo State Joint Stock Company. Construction of a new gym is underway, which will be fully equipped with specialized exercise machines and other necessary equipment.
On the banks of the canal, pontoons have been built for athletes to take to the water, there is a special raft-simulator where novice rowers learn the art of rowing and adults correct their mistakes, and there are slipways for storing boats. There are places for spectators along the banks of the canal.
