According to Mayor Pencho Milkov, the ICF Canoe Marathon World Cup 2023 in Ruse (Bulgaria) will be a great legacy for the region. The World Cup will be held in the Bulgarian city from 2 to 4 June. Mayor Milkov said at a press conference that this event would be a great boost for his city and region. "I would like to thank the ICF for trusting us in hosting this event. ICF level competitions will revive canoeing in the area and leave a great legacy. We have already started repairing facilities around the lake and the sports club," Mayor Milkov said ICF President Thomas Konicko said it is always interesting to move kayaking and canoeing to a new location. "I want to thank the Municipality of Ruse and the Bulgarian Canoe Federation for organizing this World Championship, as well as for holding a meeting of the ICF Canoe Marathon Committee" The World Cup in Ruse will be an important event on the eve of the 2023 World Rowing and Canoeing Championships, which will be held in Vejen (Denmark) from August 31 to September 3.
