Yesterday, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan held a meeting dedicated to preparing for major competitions in 2023, as well as working with foreign specialists who conduct their activities in National teams. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports Shakhrullo Mahmudov, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Sherzod Tashmatov, Adviser to the Chairman of the NOC Alisher Karimov, responsible persons of Federations and Associations. The meeting was held by Shakhrullo Sharipovich, who noted the importance of the issues on the agenda. According to the expert, this year the main focus will be on decent participation in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, as well as obtaining as many licenses as possible for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In particular, he stressed that at the main continental starts of the fourth anniversary, it is necessary to at least repeat the result of the 2018 Asian Games. In turn, Oybek Omilovich noted that there is stable funding for National teams, the training of teams is fully supported by the Government. He also asked the responsible officials of the Federations to purposefully spend the funds allocated to them. Sherzod Tashmatov also stressed the need for an in-depth analysis of the training plans of each national team. Officials said they are preparing for the upcoming Olympic Games with more than 400 athletes. During the event, a number of other long-term plans were considered. It was agreed that starting tomorrow, together with representatives of the Federations, a new stage of cooperation with foreign specialists working in each of the national teams will be considered in detail on the basis of the schedule.
