The winners and prize-winners of the XIX Summer Asian and IV Para-Asian Games held in Hangzhou were duly awarded in the khokimiyat of Tashkent.
At the Asian Games, our representatives won 22 gold, 18 silver and 31 bronze medals — a total of 71 medals. At the Para—Asian Games, 25 gold, 24 silver, 30 bronze medals were won - a total of 79 medals. 115 members of the delegation of these two prestigious competitions are athletes from Tashkent. They won a total of 35 medals. The ceremony of awarding athletes with these medals was attended by Deputy khokim of Tashkent Sanjar Obidov and chairman of the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan Furkat Mahmudkhodjaev. At the event, athletes who won gold medals at two starts were awarded monetary rewards in the amount of 36 million soums each, silver medalists were awarded 18 million and bronze medalists 9 million soums and memorable gifts. Among the awarded athletes were our rowers: A.Prakaten (academic rowing), N.Zokova (canoeing), Y.Borzova, A.Tanatmysheva and E.Shubina (kayaking), A.Klevleev (rowing slalom).
