From May 8 to 10, the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup Stage I is taking place in Szeged, Hungary, at the Maty-ér Olympic Centre for Rowing and Water Sports.
Szeged has traditionally been one of the leading venues for major international canoe sprint competitions. This year’s World Cup stage holds special significance, as it is part of the new Olympic qualification system in canoe sprint. In other words, the road to the Los Angeles Olympic Games begins in Szeged, which will also host the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in 2027.
Today, the first races of the World Cup officially got underway in Hungary, bringing together athletes from 64 countries around the world. Among the participants is also the Uzbekistan national team, which has already begun competing for high results and достойное representation of our country on the international stage.
