The Uzbekistan National Canoe Slalom Team is currently taking part in an international training camp being held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

A total of 16 athletes have been invited to the camp, along with 4 coaches and 2 international experts — Pavel Smirnov and Hernanz Samuel — who are actively involved in the training process.

Alongside the Uzbek team, national teams from Great Britain, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, China, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Croatia, Andorra, France, and the Netherlands are also participating in the training camp.

The camp will continue until February 20. After that, from March 2 to 8, Uzbekistan’s slalom athletes will compete in the Asian U23 Canoe Slalom Championships and ICF Ranking events, which will take place in Thailand.

In the Extreme Slalom discipline, Uzbekistan will be represented by Samandar Saydullayev, Daniyor Islomov, and Mustafo Matiboyev.

It is worth noting that the leading athletes of the national team have been provided with updated sports equipment and will compete using new boats.
